Doug Clark, the original visionary behind GoLite Footwear, has purchased the business one month after announcing plans to close it down. Clark is responsible for Timberland's "Invention Factory" as well as the technology that forms the basis of GoLite Footwear.
Clark is the CEO of the newly formed New England Footwear. Footwear industry veterans of companies such as Kenneth Cole, Timberland, Converse, and Nike will join Clark in bringing GoLite into its next phase of growth. The company will reveal a full line of trail shoes at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
